Automobiles in Germany's Town Found Smeared with Swastikas in Blood, Law Enforcement State

Officers reported they were contacted by a individual who discovered a automobile in Hanau smeared with reddish liquid

Roughly fifty cars have been marked with what appears to be human blood in the Germany's town of Hanau in proximity to Frankfurt, police confirm authorities.

Cars, exterior walls and postal boxes were marked, in some cases with swastikas, they reported in a official communication.

Officers report they were contacted during the night on Wednesday night, when a man observed that a vehicle in the Lamboy district of Hanau had been covered with a reddish fluid.

The liquid had been applied in the form of a banned symbol, they reported.

Police then found numerous other vandalized cars and house walls in the adjacent neighborhood.

These symbols are illegal in Germany under legislation prohibiting the public exhibition of Nazi symbols.

Law enforcement state initial examinations suggest the fluid was probably human bodily fluid.

"There is still no indication as to its source; authorities are not yet cognizant of any physical harm in relation with the occurrence," they stated.

City officials said they were attempting "to unravel the case" and have appealed to the community for tips.

A high-ranking representative commented the incident rendered him stunned and needed to be resolved promptly.

"This incident hits the core of Hanau and revives the wounds of the right-wing violent incident in 2020," he posted on social media, referring to the killing of nine victims by a gunman targeting individuals of immigrant origin in five years prior.
